My Sunday in Burbank yesterday should have been titled Saturday in Burbank, because that's when it happened. Today, early supper at Hill Street Cafe, a hike, a swim, a walk, a quick trip to Trader Joe's for ice cream, and back to the Chandler Boulevard house of Ruby, Daniel, and Alwyn.
On Sunday it was Trader Joe's, and I can't the exact name, but something like bear tracks. It's a spicy (to me) vanilla ice cream with mini peanut butter cups and amazing caramel swirl. Comes in pint containers, and we did not eat it all. Always dishes for us, although I just saw an incredible pastry, mostly fruit, in a chocolate edged waffle cup. Next time I go to Paradise Bakery, I think one will have my name on it. Saturday, the ice cream was pumpkin, from Cold Stone (which, in Australia is Cold Rock!). The first taste was great, but all the spice taste went away in the cold. I got a child's cup and was glad it wasn't more. The best yet (but only a short step behind Trader's Joe's) was Ben and Jerry's chocolate therapy. All my troubles seemed so far away!
What flavor ice cream? In a cone or dish?
